On average, Dammeron experiences only 14 days per year when the thermometer reaches 100 degrees F or higher, but fewer than 2 days per year with sub-zero weather. However, even on the hottest days the temperature will fall during the evenings to a comfortable 70-80 degree F range. As in most high desert areas, one should not attend outdoor activities on typical summer evenings without taking a sweater along.
Although the highest readings seldom vary more than 5 or 6 degrees from year to year, the lowest reading can vary 20 to 25 degrees from one winter to the next. Typically, we'll have a string of mild winters, perhaps getting no colder than 5 or 10 degrees F, followed by a winter with several spells of sub-zero temperatures. Within the last 10 years, Dammeron temperatures have ranged from a high of 107 degrees F to a low of -16 degrees F. Temperature Summary and Growing Season Data
